North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service runs a comprehensive programme of fire and safety education for children and young people. For more information, see Schools & Colleges:

  • Crucial Crew – fire safety for children aged 10-11 years.
  • Bridge days – single day courses for young people covering fire and road safety, hoax calls and arson.
  • Young Fire Fighters BTEC – a formal qualification in fire safety.
  • LIFE scheme – for young people who are at risk of offending and anti-social behavior.
