Barn Fire - Snape near Bedale

Time: 1621 hours 

Four fire engines from Bedale, Ripon, Northallerton and Richmond have been called to tackle a blaze in a barn at a domestic property in Snape, near Bedale.

Crews arrived on scene to discover a stone and concrete block barn approximately 6 metres by 10 metres on fire.

The incident has resulted in fire, heat and smoke damage to logs, timber and wooden household items inside the barn.  A section of the pantile roof has also been damaged.

Crews have used 2 breathing apparatus, 2 hosereels, ladders, thermal imaging camera and ceiling hooks to extinguish the fire.
