A crew from Harrogate have attended a report of a fire in the open. This was a false alarm and was due to controlled burning. Crews gave advice to the occupier.

Alma Terrace, Selby  Time of call: 10:48

Our York and Selby crews attended a report of fire at a two storey residential property. The entry door of the property was on fire with smoke flowing into the hallway of the property.  Two occupants were trapped by the smoke while one had managed to escape through a window prior to the crews arrival. Using breathing apparatus, crews managed to access the property and rescue the two remaining occupants. Paramedics on the scene treated the two rescued occupants for smoke inhalation.

Our crews from Reeth, Bedale and Leyburn attended a reported sighting of fire in the boiler room of the school. Our crews investigated the boiler room and the school and found no sign of fire. With no risk to the school our crews left the site.

Richmondshire Walk, Catterick Garrison Time of call 12:39

A crew from Richmond attended a report of a car on fire. On arrival the crews used their thermal image camera and then a hose reel jet to cool the engine.

Scarcroft Road, York  Time of call 14:19

A crew from Scarborough attended a report of a bin on fire. Our crew identified the bin and were able to extinguish using a bucket of water.

Maple Drive, Scarborough  Time of call 14:28

Our Scarborough crew attended a reported fire to garden fences. Crews arrived on the scene and identified that the fire started in two wheelie bins which spread to a hedge, decking and external electrical fittings. The crews used a thermal image camera and a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

Eastborough, Scarborough  Time of call 14:52

Our crews from Robin Hoods Bay, Filey and Scarborough went to a fire alarm sounding at a four storey property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

Neasham Lane, Stokesley  Time of call 17:02

A fire was reported in the open in a wooded area near Neasham Lane. Crews from Stokesley and Coulby Newham attended and were able to extinguish the fire using a hose reel jet.
