Westfield Lane, Wigginton, York

Time of call: 07:07

Automatic fire alarm activation. Huntington crew attended and after investigation it was believed to be a faulty call point within the premises.

Hollins Road, Harrogate

Time of call: 08:14

Both Harrogate appliances attended a property to reports of a bedroom fire. Incident involved what is believed to be a hot hairdryer which had been placed onto a towel which subsequently combusted. The fire was out upon Fire Brigade arrival so crews ensured the scene was safe.

Robert Street, Harrogate

Time of call: 10:31

Harrogate crew attended an automatic fire alarm at a private residence. After investigation they found the cause was believed to be due to a faulty detector head.

Scarborough Fire Station

Time of call: 10:42

Scarborough crew assisted a member of the public who attended the station due to having a ring stick on their finger. Crew removed the ring using ring cutters.

Whipperdale Bank, Stainton

Time of call: 10:54

Reeth and Leyburn crews along with an officer attended a 2 vehicle road traffic collision. 1 female casualty was trapped in the vehicle; crews extricated her using hydraulic cutting equipment.

A1 Southbound Junctions 44 to 43

Tadcaster crew were requested by West Yorkshire to assist in a road traffic collision.

Wighill, Tadcaster

Time of call: 12:51                 

Tadcaster crews along with Malton’s animal rescue have attended a property where a dog named Puddles had fallen down a well approx. 20ft. Crews used specialist animal rescue equipment to retrieve the dog back to very grateful owners.

James Street, Harrogate

Time of call: 13:20

Harrogate crew attended a call to a retail property where 2 persons were stuck in the lift. Crews used small tools to release lift occupants.

Spa Lane, Harrogate

Time of Call: 15:40

Both Harrogate crews were called to reports of a building on fire. Fire was believed to have been started deliberately in an industrial sized wheelie bin up against the building. Crews forced entry to the building to investigate any fire spread. Crews used 1 hose and breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire then used positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the building of smoke.
