Car Fire In Multi-Storey Car Park - Harrogate

We received numerous reports of a car fire on the 5th floor on a multi-story car park on Cheltenham Road in Harrogate.  Due to the nature and height of the building we mobilised both appliances from Harrogate, an appliance from Ripon, an appliance from Knaresborough and the aerial ladder platform from Harrogate.

Crew extinguished the car fire using dry power and carbon dioxide extinguishers and then removed the car from the building and out into open air, they then cooled the engine down using a hose reel jet.

All appliances had left the incident by 11:00
