Commercial property fire - Bootham, York

Fire engines from York and Acomb have been called to deal with a fire at a commercial property on Bootham in York.

The incident involved a refrigeration unit on fire on the external wall of a public house.

Fire, heat and smoke damage was confined to the refrigeration unit only and crews have used a triple extension ladder and 1 hose reel to extinguish the fire.

The cause is believed to be a wiring failure in the refrigeration unit.
