Cow Rescue -Shipton Road, York

Time: 2327 hours

A fire crew from Acomb have been called to rescue a dairy cow that had become entangled in a galvanised steel fence.

The request for assistance was made by a RSPCA inspector who was also on scene.

Fire fighters used wire cutters to snip away the fencing from around the cows back legs.

A vet also attended and checked over the cow who appeared uninjured.
