Incident Summary Night Shift Sunday 6th May

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Scarborough TOC: 17:22

Crew were mobilised to a report of smoke sighted. This was a fire involving approx. 5 square metres of grassland. Extinguished using backpack sprayer.

York TOC: 18:43

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire in a bin. This was a small rubbish fire in a bin, extinguished using a bucket of water.

York TOC: 20:12

Crew were mobilised to a report of flooding inside a premises. Crew used manpower to isolate water supply to premises.

York TOC: 21:03

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding in a premises. This was a false alarm due to insects in detector head.

Blubberhouses TOC: 21:15

Crew were mobilised to a report of a possible moor fire seen in the distance. On arrival this was a false alarm due to controlled burning with a responsible person in attendance.

York TOC: 22:30

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding in a premises. This was a false alarm due to steam from a shower.

Whitby TOC: 22:46

Crew were mobilised to a report of a chimney fire seem by a neighbour. Crews extinguished using a hose reel and chimney rods.

Leeming Bar TOC: 00:48

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding in a premises. This was a false alarm due to an accidental activation of a detector head.

Richmond TOC: 01:45

Crew were mobilised to a report of a bench on fire. Crews extinguished using backpack sprayers and buckets of water.

Scarborough TOC: 02:04

Crew were mobilised to a report of a bin fire. Crews extinguished using 1 garden hose reel.

York TOC: 02:53

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding in student accommodation. This was a false alarm due to use of fly spray.
