Incident Summary for North Yorkshire Fire for Dayshift 9th October 2017

A170, Sutton Bank Time of call 10:25

Firecrews from Thirsk, Malton and Easingwold were dispatched to a report from the Police of a 3 car RTC, the supervisory Fire Officer making first attendance where he liaised with Police & Ambulance and confirmed no persons trapped or injured with x1 male being checked as a precaution only.

River Ouse, Bishopthorpe  Time of call 10:39

Fire brigade resources attended ‘Exercise Mashua’, an Emergency Planning organised multi-agency exercise simulating an incident involving a cruise boat on the River Ouse.

Station Parade, Harrogate -Time of call 12:15

Harrogate crew released x1 male stuck in a lift by use of lift keys.

The Cleveland Way, Kettleness  Time of call 13:19

Lythe firecrew rescued Bessie the black Labrador after she slipped down a steep embankment and was unable to get back up and to her owner.  Crews used a harness to lower a firefighter to Bessie, where she was then led, via a lower path, back to her grateful owner, where they were then able to continue their perambulation down the Cleveland Way.

Church Square, Harrogate - Time of call 15:49

Harrogate crew released x1 male stuck in a lift by use of lift keys.

 

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service also attended several Automatic Fire alarm activations across the county. All being  false alarms, due to system faults, accidental activations of break glass points, cooking fumes and staff testing the system .
