Round up of incidents – Night Shift Tuesday 26th April

 

Roman Road, Newsham, Nr Richmond

Fire crews from Richmond and Barnard Castle attended reports of a chimney fire at a domestic premises. Upon Richmond crews arrival, the Barnard Castle crew from County Durham were already in attendance and dealing with the incident. No further resources from North Yorks required.

 Grewelthorpe Village

Fire crews from Masham, Bedale and Ripon attended reports of a chimney fire that had possibly spread to a neighboring property.  Upon crews arrival they were able to confirm the incident to be a chimney fire, confined to the chimney. Fire was out on arrival, crews thoroughly investigated using small tools and thermal imaging camera.

 Whitby Road, Robin Hoods Bay

Fire crews from Robin Hoods Bay attended reports of a fire alarm sounding at a commercial premises. Fire crews attended and investigated the premises. They were able to confirm there to be no fire and the alarm had activated due to a fault on the system. Crews liaised with the fire alarm engineer. No further action required.

 Market Place, Richmond

Fire crews from Richmond attended reports of a fire alarm sounding at a commercial premises. When crews investigated the reports they were able to confirm there was no alarm sounding at the property. Further investigation confirmed there to be a fault on the system. No further action required by fire crew.

 Skeldergate, York

Fire crews from York attended reports of a fire alarm sounding at a residential premises down Skeldergate. Upon crews arrival they were able to confirm there was no fire. Further investigation identified there to be a fault on the alarm system. The premises are to get engineers to attend the property.

 Upsall, Nr Thirsk

Fire crews from Thirsk attended reports of a chimney fire near Upsall. Crews used 1 hose reel and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish and check the chimney. Once extinguished the crews gave advice to the occupants and ensured everything was safe at the property.
