Incident Summary Day Shift Thurs 15th December

Monkgate, York  TOC: 0835

York crews attended an automatic fire alarm activation. They found that it was a false alarm due to testing of the system.

Abbey Mill Gardens, Knaresborough TOC: 0906

Knaresborough crew responded to a strong smell of smoke in a living room. They found no sign of fire and gave advice to have stove installation engineers re-attend to inspect.

A64 Near Headley Bar TOC: 0955

Tadcaster crew responded to calls to a tractor fire. They found that the fire had been caused by an accumulation of straw which had ignited due to hot exhaust.

Union Terrace, York TOC: 1255

York attended an automatic fire alarm activation. They found that this was a false alarm due to engineer working on the system.

St Nicholas Street, Scarborough TOC: 1314

Crews from Scarborough, Filey, Sherburn and Pickering responded to reports of a fire in a kitchen. they found that there had been a fire in the oven with inadequate extraction in operation causing smoke logging.

 B1248, Scarborough Road, Malton TOC: 1618

 Malton crew responded to reports of a vehicle fire on the slip road. They found that this was a false alarm due to a lack of engine oil causing smoke.

Tang Hall Lane, York TOC: 1631

York and Acomb crews attended reports of a fire in a derelict building. They found that this was actually a rubbish fire in the open which they extinguished using 1 hose reel jet.
