Incident Summary Day Shift Tuesday 24th January

 Marjorie Waite Court, York TOC: 08:43

Crew from York were mobilised to report of an elderly person trapped in a shower chair, and unable to be released by carers. Released using a dewalt saw and passed over to care of ambulance crew.

Danum Drive, York TOC: 09:19

Crew from York and Acomb were mobilised to a late fire call, a smell of smoke in a premises where a burnt part of a cooker had already been removed to open air. Crews attended and fitted smoke alarms and gave advice.

Hospital Road, Malton TOC: 09:29

Crew from Malton were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding. This was a false alarm due to dust from workmen.

High Street, Carlton TOC: 13:50

Crew from Selby were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding. This was a false alarm due to fumes from cooking.

Gladstone Street, Acomb TOC: 14:47

Crew from York and Acomb were mobilised to a late fire call, smoke in a premises where a dressing screen had been knocked onto a gas fire, the occupants carer had removed the fire to open air prior to Fire service being mobilised. Advice was given to carer.

Rockville Drive, Embsay TOC: 16:02

Crews from Skipton were mobilised to a report of a bin and tyres on fire against a property. This was extinguished prior to arrival by a neighbour, 1 hose reel and a thermal imaging camera used by fire service to damp down and check for hotspots. This was believed to be due to hot ash placed in a bin the previous night.
