A19 Southbound, South Kilvington

Crews from Thirsk and Northallerton were mobilised to a report of a car on its roof on the A19. Crews extracted 1 male from car on its side using hydraulic cutting gear, and he was taken to hospital by air ambulance.

 

 

 

Scalby Road, Scarborough

Crews from Scarborough were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding. This was a false alarm due to fumes from cooking.

Crews from Thirsk, Northallerton and Ripon were mobilised to a report of a 3 vehicle road traffic collision with persons trapped. Crews extricated 1 male from a vehicle using stabilisation gear and hydraulic cutting equipment.

 

 

 

Richmond to Halfpenny House Road, Barden

Crews from Leyburn attended a report of a car into a tree. Male driver was out of the vehicle and taken to hospital by air ambulance. Crews made scene safe by stabilising the vehicle.

Crews from Harrogate were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding. This was a false alarm due to steam.

Crews from Skipton, Ripon and Grassington were mobilised to a 3 vehicle road traffic collision. 2 people were extricated from 2 separate vehicles using hydraulic cutting gear, and handed the casualties to ambulance crews to be taken to hospital.

 

 

 

Fieldside, Scarborough

Crews from Scarborough were mobilised to a report of fire in a detached garage. Crews used 2 breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel jet. Cause is believed to have been an electrical fault with a charger overheating and spreading to towelling and rags in the shed.

Crews from Grassington were mobilised to a report of a chimney fire. Fire was out prior to fire service arrival, and crews removed embers from hearth using a hearth kit, and monitored temperature of the chimney using a thermal imaging camera.
