Fire in flat on Bewerley Road, Harrogate

Location: Bewerley Road, Harrogate.

 

Three fire engines were dispatched to a report of a fire in a flat in a three storey building on Bewerley Road, Harrogate; two fire engines and an aerial ladder from Harrogate, and a fire engine from Knaresborough.

Crews extinguished by hosereel a fire which had started in a walk-in type wardrobe within a bedroom in a flat on the second floor.

The fire started in a fridge freezer used within the room, which suffered fire, heat and smoke damage.

Crews also used breathing appartus, a thermal imaging camera and a pressure fan to ventilate the flat.

No persons were involved and the cause is believed to be an electrical fault.

Last crew left the scene at 17:44
