Poultry Shed fire - Brafferton

Location, Austin Hill track, Brafferton

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the above Location to reports of a fire to 2 poultry sheds. The poultry sheds contained approximately 4000 pheasants which unfortunately did not survive the incident.

Appliances from Boroughbridge and Easingwold attended the incident, they swiftly made up for a further 2 appliances which were mobilised from Thirsk and Ripon.

The fire caused 100% fire damage to both sheds crews used 2 Hose reel jets, thermal imaging camera , lighting and small tools.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
