Flat Fire - York

At 20:29 we received reports of smoke of  the 4th floor of a 4 story building, 3 pumps from Acomb and York along with the Aerial Ladder Platform from Huntington were mobilised to this.

Crews quickly set up a bridgehead on the 2nd floor and used 4 breathing apparatus and 2 hose reel jets to extinguish the fire which was in a kitchenette.  The cooker hood, hob and adjacent units sustained 30% fire damage and the rest of the studio suffered minor smoke damage.  Crews then ventilated the property using the positive pressure ventilation fan.

Fire investigation are currently investigating the cause, the last appliance booked away at around 21:53
