Flat Fire - Wistow, Selby

8th April 2015

Location: Prospect Place, Wistow, Selby

Time: 1405 hours

Fire engines from Selby and Tadcaster have been called to deal with a fire in the kitchen of a ground floor flat.

Fire damage was caused to a pan of cooking which had been left unattended on the hob, the remainder of the flat was smoke logged.

Fortunately, smoke detectors were fitted, they have activated and raised the alarm, allowing other residents to evacuate the property.

Fire crews used 4 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet, a positive pressure ventilation fan and a door enforcer.
