Flooding Incidents 25th December 2015

25th December 2015

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service have received calls to 35 flooding related incidents across the county this evening.

Incidents occurred in Skipton, Hawes, Harrogate, Knaresborough, Easingwold, Scarborough, Malton, Summerbridge and Ripon.

7 incidents involved vehicles in flood water, in total 20 people were rescued or led to safety from vehicles.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service would like to advise people not to drive into flood water and take note of road closure and flooding signs.
