Hotel Fire Whitby

Crews from Whitby, Lythe and Robin Hoods Bay attended reports of a fire in a Hotel in Whitby.

On arrival crews descovered and extinguished a small fire in a cupboard in a bedroom within the property.  The cause of the fire is believed to have been due to an internal chimney collapse which radiated heat into a old converted baking oven.  Crews used 1 hose reel, thermal imaging camera and small tools.

The last appliance left the incident at 20:46.
