House Fire - York

18th April 2014

Location: Chapelfields Road, York

At 1559 hours the Fire Service were called to a smoke filled house in the Chapelfields Road area of York.  Fire engines from York and Acomb Fire Station attended.  When the crews arrived they discovered the cause of the smoke is a pan left unattended.  Prior to the Fire Service arrival a neighbour had removed the pan and turned the gas off.  Fire crews ventilated the property and carried out a Home Risk Assessment and fitted two smoke alarms.
