House Fire - York

Leeside, York

Fire Engines from Acomb and York were called to report of a house fire in Leeside, York.  Two people were trapped in upstairs bedroom and the fire was on the ground floor.   Control Operator gave fire survival advice to the occupiers trapped in the bedroom until arrival of the fire crews.  One female and one male were rescued from first floor by fire crews using ladders. Both casualties were taken to hospital for provisional check up.  Cause of the fire still being investigated.
