Incident summary 2 December 2018 Nightshift

Incident Summary Night Shift Sunday 2nd December 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Pateley Bridge – TOC: 17:53

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding in a premises. This was a false alarm due to fumes from cooking.

Pickering – TOC: 19:25

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire in a scrapyard. This was a fire involving a large number of scrap vehicles. Crews used 4 hose reels, 2 main jets and 10 breathing apparatus to extinguish fire. Incident is open for a revisit tomorrow morning.

The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate. 

Crews conducted a revisit on the 3rd December to check for hot spots. No further hot spots or signs of fire were found.

Eastfield, Scarborough – TOC: 20:04

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding in a premises. This was a false alarm, cause unknown.

Horton in Ribblesdale – TOC: 21:08

Crew were mobilised to a report of a chimney fire in a property. Crews extinguished using small tools. Cause is believed to be due to a build up of soot.

York – TOC: 00:23

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding in a property. This was a false alarm due to an overflowing bath. Crews isolated water.

Scarborough – TOC: 03:04

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding in a property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.
