Fire crews from Malton responded to reports of an artic lorry leaking diesel. On arrival crews confirmed approx 400 litres of diesel had been leaked onto the highway. Crews used paste to block leaking tank and drizzit oads to soak some of the excess diesel. Police and Highways also assisted.

Low Poppleton Lane, York

Time of Call 08:56

Fire crews from Acomb attended reports of a van on fire. Crews confirmed that one van was well alight and extinguished fire using one hose reel jet.

Kyme street, York

Time of call 11:30

Fire crew from York and Acomb responded to a potential residential fire, however on arrival crew acknowledged this was an overheated fuse box. Crew used a dry powder extinguisher to fully extinguish any residual heat.

Castle Howard, Malton

Time of call 11:39

Fire crew from Malton responded to an Automatic Fire Alarm in a restaurant area. This was a false alarm, the alarm break glass point was accidentally activated.
