Incident summary – Day shift Friday 16th September

Spa Mews, Spa Lane, Harrogate

Fire crews from Harrogate responded to reports of a female collapsed after inhaling some sort of fumes. This was confirmed by crews as a false alarm. No casualties or gas fumes involved.

 

 

Quaker Close Reeth

Fire crews from Reeth responded to an fire alarm activation at this premises. This was confirmed as a false alarm, burnt toast had triggered alarm. No fire.

 

A1 North Wetherby – Allerton Park

 

Fire crews from Wetherby, Tadcaster and Knaresborough responded to reports of a vehicle on fire on the north bound carriageway. After extensive searching this incident was confirmed as a false alarm. Vehicle possibly overheated which was mistaken for fire.

 

Broughton Road, Skipton

 

Fire crews from Skipton attended reports of a fire alarm sounding at a premises on Broughton Road. On arrival crews confirmed this was a false alarm caused by water leaking into the detector head.

 

Harrogate International Centre, Harrogate.

 

Fire crews from Harrogate attended reports of a fire alarm sounding at the Kings Suite, in the International Centre. This was a false alarm.

 

A174, Lythe Bank

 

Crews from Whitby assisted Police with precriously situated vehicle. Crews secured vehicle to prevent it from falling onto road until arrival of recovery.

 

Quarry near Lower Wensleydale Caravan site, Harmby

 

Fire crews from Leyburn, Richmond and Ripon attended reports of a female that had fallen into a disused quarry. On arrival crews confirmed woman was in water and managed to reach her using water rescue equipment. Female was treated by paramedics. **further details will follow as this incident is still ongoing**

 

Field on Pasture Road, Lockton, Pickering

 

Fire crews from Pickering attended reports of a JCB on fire in a field On arrival crews confirmed this was a JCB loadall well alight. Crews extinguished fire using 1 hose reel and breathing apparatus
