Incident Summary - Day shift Friday 26th August

Holme Bridge, Holme on Swale

 Fire crews from Ripon and Northallerton responded to a corn dryer on fire in a field. Crews extinguished fire using two hose reel jets. Cause of fire is still under investigation.


Hope Street Scarborough

 Fire crews from Scarborough provided first aid to an elderly male who had fallen in the street and hurt his head. Crews left the incident with Paramedics.


Parliament Street, York

 Fire crews from York released 1 adult and 2 children from a lift that got stuck. Specialist lift keys were used.


Rowntree Avenue, York

 Fire crews from York attended a car fire involving a Skoda. The fire was caused by an electrical fault. Fire was out on arrival. Crews made vehicle safe by isolating the battery.


In addition to the above, North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews attended several automatic smoke alarm activations. All were false alarms.
