Low Gatherly Road, Moulton

Time of call: 10:23

Fire crews from Richmond and Darlington attended a grain dryer on fire in farmyard. Crews removed corn from the dryer and damped down. Cause of fire was accidental.

North Road, Ripon

Time of call 12:09

Fire crews from Ripon attended reports of a chimney fire at a disused property. Crews found a small fire in an open fire place had been extinguished prior to arrival of Fire crew and a homeless male trying to keep warm was with the fire.

Kestral Roundabout, Wetherby Road Harrogate.

Time of call 14:13

Fire crew from Harrogate responded to reports of two red gas cylinders that had rolled off the back of a truck. Crews inspected cylinders and confirmed they were empty and posed no risk to the public.

Linden Road, Northallerton

Time of call 14:23

Fire crews from Northallerton attended a fire in kitchen of a two storey residential property. Fire was caused by an electrical fault in a dishwasher. No people were injured in the fire. Crews used 4 breathing apparatus and 2 hose reel jets to extinguish fire.

Messines Road, Catterick Garrision

Time of call 15:17

Fire crews from Richmond attended a Landrover Discovery well alight. Fire was caused by an engine fault. Crews extinguished the fire using 2 breathing apparatus and 2 hose reels.


In addition to the above incidents Crews across North Yorkshire attended several automatic fire alarms, all of which were false alarms.
