Incident summary Monday 18th January day shift

18th January 2016

 

Road Traffic Collision – A1 Southbound carriageway near Bramham Crossroads

Time of call: 07:55.  Fire crews from Tadcaster and Selby attended a 14 Vehicle road traffic collision, no persons were trapped and crews were used to assist ambulance and police making the scene safe and assessing occupants of vehicles.

 

 

Flooding in the open – Chandlers Wharf, Malton

Time of call: 08:32.  Fire crews from Malton attended some flooding the open which was due to a faulty pump that had been left in situ.  Firefighters secured the pump and ensured it was working as intended.

 

 

LPG Leak – Harrogate Road, Ripon

Time of call: 08:45.  Fire crews from Ripon and Harrogate attended an LPG leak at a petrol station forecourt on Harrogate road, Firefighters used covering jets, evacuated nearby premises and used the high volume pump to remove the floodwater which has submerged the LPG bullet.

 

 

Automatic Fire Alarm – Station View, Harrogate

Time of call:  10:38.     Fire crews from Harrogate attended an automatic fire alarm but this turned out to be a false alarm.

 

 

Chimney Fire – Iddison Drive, Bedale

Time of call: 11:31.  Bedale crew attended a chimney fire and extinguished using small tools and a bucket of water.

 

 

Petrol Spill – Gladstone Road, Scarborough

Time of call: 12:08.  Fire crews from Scarborough attended and cleaned up a small fuel spill which was left on a road.

 

 

Automatic Fire Alarm – Woodfield Road, Harrogate

Time of call:  12:34.     Fire crews from Harrogate attended an automatic fire alarm but this turned out to be a false alarm.

 

 

Child locked in car – Stuart Road, York

Time of call: 12:38.   Fire crews from York attended and rescued a small child which had been locked inside a vehicle.

 

 

Co-Responder Incident – High street, Helmsley

Time of call: 13:25.  One of our Fire Co-Responders from Helmsley attended an incident and this has been left with the Ambulance Service.

 

 

Fire – York Road, Wetherby

Time of call: 15:07.  Tadcaster appliance was mobilised to assist West Yorkshire fire crews however they were not needed at this incident.
