Incident Summary - Day shift Monday 5th February

Ruffin Lane, Eddlethorpe - Time of call 07:04

Malton Fire crews attended a fire involving an Aga cooker. The Officer in charge requested the attendance of a further appliance from Pickering and the aerial ladder platform from Huntington. The fire was located in the cavity of a kitchen wall. Crews had to remove the wall to access the fire. Cause of fire was radiated heat from the Aga cooker to stoving wall. Crews used Drills, small tools, backpack sprayer two hose reel jets and breathing apparatus.

Limekiln Lane, Snape - Time of call 07:16

Masham and Bedale Fire crews attended a heavy goods vehicle fire. Fire was minor and involved an electrical cable between the cab and the trailer. Minor fire damage was caused to the wiring only. Driver of HGV had extinguished fire using a dry powder extinguisher.

West Avenue, Filey - Time of call 09:45

Fire crews from Filey responded to an automatic fire alarm at a residential property. This was a false alarm. No fire occurred.
