Incident Summary Day Shift Sunday 20th May 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

 

York: time 08.04

Acomb crew attended an automatic fire alarm at a residential premises, this was a false alarm caused by a fault on the system.

Kirkbymoorside: time 08.43

Kirkbymoorside appliance attended an automatic fire alarm at an industrial premises, this was a false alarm caused by a power cut.

 

Sutton Under-Whitestonecliffe: time 10.42

Thirsk crew responded to an automatic fire alarm at a residential property, this turned out to be a false alarm due to a faulty detector

Scalby: time 10.46

An Appliance from Scarborough attended a conifer tree on fire, on arrival crews found the tree had been extinguished using a garden hose by the home owner, crews used one hose reel to dampen down the affected area.

York: time 14.11

Acomb, Tadcaster and York were sent to reports of a 3 vehicle road traffic collision with smoke coming from a vehicle. On arrival crews found no casualties were trapped or smoke coming from any vehicle. Fire brigade assisted with making the scene safe.

Selby: 14.21

Selby were sent to help a male who had fallen at home and unable to get up. The crew helped the casualty up and requested an ambulance.

Rufforth: 15.38

Crews from York, Tadcaster, Acomb and a water bowser attended a large fire in the open *this incident is still ongoing.
