Incident Summary - Day shift Sunday 29th April

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Lythe  - Time of call 07:46

Fire crews from Lythe responded to a smoke alarm activation at a historical site. This was a false alarm caused by a fault on the system

Beulah Street, Harrogate - Time of call 09:52

Harrogate fire crews responded to reports of loose tiles on a roof of a commercial premises. Crews used the aerial ladder platform to secure a TV mast and the tiles.

Ramsey Close, York - Time of call 10:52

Fire crews from York attended a fire alarm activation at a residential premises. This was a false alarm caused by fumes from an electronic cigarette.

Forest Way, Harrogate - Time of call 12:09

Fire crews from Harrogate assisted an elderly bed bound male with the removal of a ring that had got stuck on his finger. Crews used ring cutters to remove the ring.

Osmotherly - Time of call 12:52

Fire crew from Northallerton were mobilised to a Pub to release a small boy who had got locked inside the toilet. Crews used small hand tools to release door and reunite child with his parents.

Swan Road, Harrogate - Time of call 12:53

Harrogate crews attended a smoke alarm activation at a residential property. This was a false alarm caused by cooking fumes.

Leeds Road, Tadcaster

Time of call 15:11

Fire crews from Tadcaster attended a fire alarm activation at a commercial premises. This was a false alarm caused by a fault on the system.

Hipswell Road, Hipswell - Time of call 16:21

Fire crews from Richmond and Catterick were mobilised to a sports pavilion on fire. On arrival they confirmed a single storey building measuring 20 metres by 10 metres of timber construction was well alight. They requested support from three further appliances. These appliances were mobilised from Leyburn, Bedale and Hawes. Incident is still ongoing,

Lofthouse - Time of call 16:39

Masham fire crews attended a transit van fire. Incident is still on going.
