Incident Summary - Day shift Tuesday 31st July

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

 North Marine Road, Scarborough - Time of call 09:33

Scarborough Fire crews responded to reports of a smell of gas inside a commercial property. Crews gained entry to allow Gas Board to investigate.

Osbaldwick Lane, York - Time of call 09:45

Fire crews from York responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a school. This was a false alarm casued by dust.

Muston, Filey - Time of call 10:16

Filey fire crews responded to reports of a fire in a field, this turned out to be controlled burning under supervision.

Cropton, Pickering - Time of call 10:57

Pickering fire crews attended a car fire involving a classic Cortina. The cause of fire was due to a mechanical fault. Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish fire.

Queen Street, Scarborough - Time of call 11:50

Scarborough fire crews responded to smoke alarm activation in a residential premises. The cause of the alarm was a fault on the system.

Sherburn in Elmet - Time of call 12:16

Fire crews from Tadcaster attended a fire in a field. The fire was caused deliberately. Crews used one hose reel.

Easingwold - Time of call 13:55

Fire crews from Easingwold and York attended a small fire involving food left in a microwave. The food was destroyed but no other fire damage to anything else occurred.

Blueberry Way, Scarborough - Time of call 14:33

Scarborough fire crews responded to a fence on fire in back garden. The cause of fire was deliberate. Crews used two hose reels to extinguish.
