Incident summary - Day shift Tuesday 5th September

Please see below a round up of incidents from Tuesday 5th September Day Shift


A6108, Near West Tanfield TOC: 09:30


Crews from Bedale and Ripon responded to a road traffic collision that occurred on the A6108. On arrival, Police were at the scene and one vehicle was on its roof.


Boroughbridge Road, York TOC: 10:05


Our crews from Acomb and York went to a fire reported in the kitchen of a residential property. The fire was believed to be caused by an electrical fault from a washing machine. Crews extinguished the fire using one hose reel jet and dry powder. The crews safely removed the washing machine from the property. One person was left in the care of the paramedics for possible smoke inhalation.


Bank Lane, Faceby TOC 11:14


A crew from Northallerton have attended a fire alarm sounding. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.


A63 Monk Fryston TOC: 11:42


Crews from Selby and Tadcaster attended a reported road traffic collision on the A63. The incident involved two heavy goods vehicles that had collided. The drivers had made it out of the vehicles when the crews had arrived. The crews made the scene safe and left the drivers in the care of the paramedics.


Wreaks Road, Birstwith TOC: 11:58


A crew from Summerbridge attended a fire in the open under a bridge on Wreaks Road. Our crew extinguished the fire using their hose reel jet. 


Stockwell Road, Knaresborough TOC: 13:19


A crew from Knaresborough have attended a fire alarm sounding. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.


Craven Street, Skipton  TOC: 16:57


Our crew from Skipton have attended a site of reported person stuck in a lift. Our crews were able to release the person using their lift keys.
