Incident-Summary-Day-Shift-Wednesday-8th-August

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

 Acaster Malbis - Time of call 10:11

York crews assisted Paramedics gaining access to a female patient trapped inside a shower cubicle. Female was left with Paramedics with non life threatening injuring.

Low Lane, Newsham - Time of call 10:32

Richmond fire crew and an appliance from Durham Fire Service extinguished a motorhome on fire. The cause of the fire was believed to be electrical. Crews used three hose reel jets.

Near Scotch Corner - Time of call 12:13

Fire crews from Richmond attended a fire involving a tractor unit, the fire was out on arrival and involved the soundproofing material. The cause of fire is believed to be accidental.

Muscoats Lane, Nunnington - Time of call 12:25

Fire crews from Malton and Kirkbymoorside attended a fire involving a combine harvester on fire in a field. The cause of fire is believed to be an electrical fault. The fire was confined to the engine bay of the harvester and was out on arrival of crews, however fire spread to standing cornfield crop. Crews used one hose reel jet and thermal imaging camera.

Marske - Time of call 12:55

Reeth and Richmond crew attended a fire involving an excavator in a wooded area. The excavator was damaged by approx. 70% Crews used a dry powder extinguisher to put the fire out. The cause of the fire is believed to be an electrical fault.

Harwood Dale, Scarborough  - Time of call 14:41

Scarborough crews responded to a large amount of manure smouldering. Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish.

A65, Coniston Cold - Time of call 15:29

Skipton fire crews attended a single vehicle road traffic collision. No people were trapped. Crews moved vehicle from the carriageway.

Station Road, Topcliffe - Time of call 15:38

Ripon fire crews attended a fire involving a combine harvester. Crews used one hose reel jet and thermal imaging camera. The cause is believed to have been eletrical and caused minor damage to eletrcial insultation.

 Staithes- Time of call 16:38

Crews from Lythe and Whitby attended reports of a rock fall which had injuried a child at Staithes. On their arrival crews found that no specialist rope rescue or other equipment was required from ourselves. Crews provided man power only to assist with transporting the casualty to an ambulance.
