Incident Summary Tuesday 22th May Night Shift

Please see below a round up of incidents from Tuesday 29th May Day Shift

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Filey: time - 07.41

A crew from Filey attended a single vehicle road traffic collision, both occupants were out on arrival and the fire brigade used a winch and small tools to make the scene safe.


York: time – 08.41

Huntington crew attended an automatic fire alarm, this turned out to be a false alarm caused by a fault on system.

 

Harrogate: time – 09.20

Harrogate appliance was sent to an automatic fire alarm at a residential premise, this turned out to be a false alarm caused by burnt toast.

Ryton, Malton: time 11.25

An appliance from Malton was sent to a chimney fire in Ryton. Crews used a 9m ladder, roof ladder, hose reel, chimney nozzle, working at height gear and thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire. The fire was believed to be caused by an accumulation of soot and was confined to the flue.

York: time 15.50

Acomb crew attended reports of a dog stuck in a river. On arrival at scene crews confirmed the dog had already got out, no action taken by the fire service.

Scalby, Scarborough: time 15.52

Scarborough crew assisted the ambulance service to gain entry inside a property. Crews used manpower to get to the casualty who was stuck behind a bathroom door and left them  in the care of paramedics.

Scarborough: time 16.22

Scarborough appliance was mobilised to an automatic fire alarm in a residential building. This was a false alarm caused by break glass activation.
