Incident summary for Dayshift 01 December 2018

1st December 2018

Incident Summary Saturday 1st December Day Shift

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Time 0805    Location: River Ouse, York

The boat crew from York, supported by crews from Acomb, assisted Police with a search of the River Ouse. No persons were found.

Time 1205    Location: Kirkbymoorside

Crews from Kirkbymoorside, Helmsley & Pickering attended a fire involving a 2-storey terraced house. 4 breathing apparatus and 2 hose reels were used to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is thought to be accidental.

Time 1331    Location: Newby, Scarborough   

A fire officer was mobilised to investigate a report of a strong smell of fuel outside domestic properties. A quantity of diesel was found to have been spilled in the road. Assistance was provided by the Highways Department to make the road safe.

Time 1545    Location: Nr Woodfield Road

A Harrogate crew investigated reports of a fire seen in the area. They extinguished a bonfire using a hose reel.

 

In addition to the above incidents our crews attended automatic fire alarm activations in Easingwold, Scarborough (x2) and Settle.  All were false alarms.
