Incident Summary – Night Shift Sunday 23rd July

23rd JULY

19:35 Front Street, Acomb, York

Acomb crew attended after a person had become stuck in a lift. Crews used lift keys to release the female.

 19:51 Shipton Road, Rawcliffe, York

York crew attended and extinguished a fire to a discarded mattress and pallets in the open. One hose reel jet used to extinguish.

 21:13 Huntington Road, York

Huntington crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm.

 22:22 B1217 nr Towton

Tadcaster crew attended and extinguished a large fire in the open. This appeared to be controlled burning, left unattended. Crews used one jet to extinguish the fire. Small tools and lighting also used on scene.

 

23:30 Holme Lane, Selby

Selby crews attended following a report of a residential fire. On arrival, crew confirmed the fire which had occurred in the kitchen area of a property, was out. All persons out of property. Crews carried out inspection and gave advice. Damage was limited to a pan on a hob. Cause of fire believed to be accidental.

 24th  JULY

 02:49 Haughton Road, York

Acomb crew responded to an alarm activation in a domestic premises which was found to be due to a fault on the system.

 03:36 Askham Lane, York

Acomb crew responded to an alarm activation in a school which was found to be due to a system fault.
