Incident Summary, Night shift, Saturday 18th November

TOC    22:37   Coach Road, Sleights

A crew from Whitby, Lythe and Goathland attended a report of a fire in a field, on arrival this was found to be a caravan well alight, no persons were involve. Crews extinguished the fire using one hose reel and used two ground monitors to cool three cylinders within the caravan.

TOC    23:25   Riccall Business Park, Selby

A crew from Selby attended a report of an automatic fire alarm sounding, after investigation this was found to be a false alarm

Sunday, 19th November

TOC    02:05   Key Way, York

A crew from York responded to multiple reports of a fire to a car outside a domestic premises. On their arrival crews used two hosereel jets to extinguish fire to a Ford Focus, adjacent fencing and to the exterior of the property’s kitchen. All persons were out of property on fire arrival. Cause is believed to be due to spontaneous combustion of garden clippings in an external storage bin or arcing of a discarded battery in the bin.

TOC    05:49   Castle Road, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough extinguished wooden bedroom furniture situated outside the front of a hotel by use of a hosereel jet. Cause likely to be deliberate.
