Incident Summary Night Shift 11th January 2019

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

B6270, West of Healaugh - Time of call: 18:15

Crews from Reeth and Leyburn were called to a road traffic collision with 3 persons involved who were all out on arrival of the Fire Brigade. Crews assisted Police at the Scene.

South Street, Scarborough - Time of call 18:22

Scarborough crews responded to a smoke alarm activation at a residential property caused by aerosol fumes.

 Haxby, York - Time of call 18:33

Huntington Fire crew responded to a smoke alarm activation at a domestic property. This was a false alarm caused by cooking fumes.

 Scotch Corner - Time of call 19:54

Richmond crews attended a car fire in a car park. Crews extinguished fire using two breathing apparatus and one hose reel. The cause of the fire was electrical.

High Street, Sutton in Craven - Time of call 20:30

Fire crews from Skipton attended a fire in a bedroom of a first floor flat. Crews used six breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and thermal imaging cameras. Fire was believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.

East Cliff, Whitby - Time of call 21:04

Whitby fire crews responded to a fire alarm activation at a residential property. This was a false alarm.

 

Lichfield Grove, Harrogate - Time of call 21:36

Fire crews from Harrogate responded to reports of a fire in a residential property. This turned out to be a bonfire outside under control. Fire Service not required

A162, Sherburn in Elmet  - Time of call: 22:34

A crew from Tadcaster were called to a report of a fire in the open. This was a rubbish fire that was left unattended. Crews used a knapsack sprayer to extinguish this.

High Street, Carlton, Selby - Time of call: 00:33

A crew from Selby were called to a report of a car on fire. The cause of the fire is believed to have deliberate. Crews extinguished this using two breathing apparatus a hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera.

Pale Lane, Carleton - Time of call 01:59

Skipton fire crews responded to a single vehicle road traffic collision. One male was trapped so crews performed roof and side removal to release male. Male was then left in the care of Ambulance crews at the scene.

 

Longwestgate, Scarborough - Time of call 02:23


Fire crews from Scarborough attended a small rubbish fire close to a block of flats. Cause of fire is believed deliberate and fire was out on arrival of crews. Crews used a bucket of water to further dampen down.
