Crews from Whitby and Goathland attended an automatic fire alarm activation at a domestic property. This was a false alarm.

 

Holmefield Lane, Ripon

Time of call 18:17

Crews from Ripon attended a chimney fire caused by a log burner. Fire was out on arrival of crew, however hot spots were identified up the chimney breast, so crew damped down using a hose reel.

 

Springfield Avenue, Harrogate

Time of call 18:37

Fire crew from Harrogate responded to an automatic fire alarm activated at a residential property. This was confirmed as a false alarm.

 

Copt Hewick Common

Fire crew from Thirsk responded to reports of a fire in the open on the common. This was an unattended bonfire of fly-tipping. Crews extinguished fire using one hose reel.

Fire crews from Acomb attended a fire in the open, this was under supervision and posed no risk to any people or property and was allowed to burn out

Fire crews from Harrogate responded to reports of a chimney fire, crews confirmed that the fire had been extinguished by a neighbour prior to their arrival.

Fire crews from Huntington responded to an automatic fire alarm at a commercial gym. This was a false alarm caused by aerosol fumes.

Fire crews from York responded to reports of a small fire in the open in a play park. Crews confirmed that youths had been attempting to set fire to a picnic bench, but the minor fire was already out on their arrival.

 

Hornbeam Park, Harrogate

Fire crews from Harrogate responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a commercial factory premises. This was a false alarm due to a fault on the system

 

Grove Lane, Ripon

Time of call 21:31

Fire crew from Ripon attended a bin fire believed to have been caused by a dropped light. Crews extinguished fire using one hose reel jet.
