Sutton Court, Thirsk - Time of call 17:16

Firecrew from Thirsk responded to a female aged mid 30s, who had become locked in her bathroom after the handle broke, leaving her children alone on the other side. Small tools were used to open door and reunite the family.

Westville Oval, Harrogate - Time of call 19:01

A crew from Harrogate responded to a report of a large fire in a rear garden which was found to be controlled attended burning.

Landing Lane, Haxby - Time of call 19:03

The Huntington crew extinguished approx. 10sqm of stubble field by use of a backpack sprayer after it had been set alight deliberately by youths.

Wiggington Road, York - Time of call 19:38

York fire crew responded t0  a fire alarm activation in a hospital which was found to have activated due to a system fault.

near Mallyan Spout waterfall, nr Goathland  - Time of call 19:44

Whitby crew responded to a report of smoke in the area due to a believed attended campfire.

Calf Close, Haxby  Time of call 21:09

Huntington attended reports of smoke in the area, possibly due to a bonfire but no fire found.

Dundas Street, York  - Time of call 23:19

A crew from York attended a report of an automatic fire alarm sounding, after inspection this was found to be due to a fault on the system.

St Helens Square, Scarborough - Time of call 23:54

A crew from Scarborough attended a report of a fire in the open, after a thorough investigation of the area no fire was found

White Point Road, Whitby – Time of call 01:33

A crew from Whitby attended a report of a fire alarm sounding at a nursing home, after investigation this was found to be due to a fault on the system.

Eastborough, Scarborough – Time of call 01:40

A crew from Scarborough attended a wheelie bin fire, the cause is believed to be deliberate, one hose reel was used to put the fire out.

Westborough, Scarborough – Time of call 02:20

Scarborough crews mobilised initially to what was believed to be a hotel fire. However, this was found to be a deliberate ignition of a plastic planter outside the hotel, the smoke from which percolated into the hotel setting off fire alarms. A hosereel jet was used to extinguish the fire.

Fossgate, York – Time of call 02:21

A crew from York attended a fire alarm activation to a building of historical interest. The cause of the alarm was undetermined as the system had been re-set.

Westborough, Scarborough – Time of call 05:18

Scarborough crew  mobilised to a bin fire which had been set alight deliberately and was extinguished by a member of the public and using a bucket of water and firecrews using a hosereel. A male in the area is being questioned by Police following information they received from a member of the public.
