Newborough Scarborough

Time of call 17:47

Fire crew from Scarborough responded to reports of a bin fire. Crew confirmed a commercial bin was on fire and they extinguished it using a hose reel jet.


West Park Terrace, Falsgrave Road, Scarborough

Time of call 17:56

Fire crews from Scarborough attended a block of flats to investigate a strong smell of gas. Gas board attended and isolated the gas supply.


Winskill Road, Langcliffe, Settle

Time of call 18:04

Fire crews from Settle and Bentham attended a fire to an property in a storage room. The room was well alight and the Officer in charge requested two further appliances for water. Two more from Skipton were mobilised. Crews extinguished the fire using four breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets.


A1 North Bound Junc 49, Dishforth

Fire crews from Boroughbridge attended a 3 vehicle Road traffic collision, no persons trapped so further supporting appliances en-route were returned.


Harmby Road, Leyburn

Time of call 19:11

Fire crews from Leyburn attended a chimney fire, this was caused by an accumulation of soot and crew extinguished fire using specialist chimney kit and a hose reel


Firby Road, Bedale

Fire crew from Masham and  Northallerton responded to reports of a strong smell of burning at a commercial premises. This was a false alarm, the smell was believed to have been caused by a faulty light fitting.


 York University

Fire crews from York responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at the University. This was a false alarm


Off Huntington Road, York

Time of call 23:24

Fire crews from Acomb responded to a fire in the open in a playing field. Fire was believed to have been caused deliberately. Crew extinguished fire using backpack.


Station Road, York

Time of call 01:21

Fire crew from York responded to an automatic fire alarm at a Hotel, the alarm had been triggered by someone breaking the alarm glass points, there was no fire.


York Road, Haxby, York

Time of call: 04:05

Fire crews from Huntington responded to reports of smoke issuing from an electrical junction box void in the ground. Fire crew stood by until attendance of electricity board who isolated the electrical supply.
