Incident Summary Sunday 29th July Night Shift

Please see below a round up of incidents from Sunday 29th July Night Shift

 In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Foss Barrier, York: TOC 21.27

Our crew from York assisted the environment agency in gaining access through a padlocked gate to access to the river Foss. Crews used an angle grinder to cut the padlock.

Frenchgate, Richmond: TOC 22.15

Appliances from Richmond and Colburn were sent to reports of a building fire on Frenchgate, after a thorough investigation of the area crews found no building on fire.

Dale Street, York: TOC 00.03

York and Acomb crews attended a kitchen fire, the fire was out on arrival and caused by cooking left unattended. 1 male occupant was treated on scene by paramedics for smoke inhalation. Crews carried out an inspection and ventilated the property.  

North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service also attended a number of automatic fire alarms across the county during the night shift in Scarborough, Malton, Whitby, York, Harrogate, Ripon, Northallerton and Richmond. These all turned out to be false alarms.
