Incident Summary – Night Shift – Thursday 2nd November

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

RTC – Brompton Road, Northallerton

Time of call 18.18

A crew from Northallerton attended a single vehicle road traffic collision, on arrival crews found no persons trapped or injured and assisted making the scene safe using manpower only.

Car fire – Lawrence Street, York

Time of call 18.27

York appliance attended a Mini Cooper on fire, crews extinguished the fire using 1 breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel jet. The fire started in the engine compartment and it is believed to been caused by an electrical fault.

Bin fire – West Park, Harrogate

Time of call 18.29

Harrogate attended a public waste bin that was on fire. Crews used 1 bucket of water to extinguish the fire and the cause of the fire is unknown.

Assist Ambulance - Dean Road, Scarborough

Time of call 18.57

A crew from Scarborough assisted the paramedics in gaining entry to a property to a female who had collapsed. Crews used a hooligan bar to access the property

Chimney fire – Hospital Road, Scorton

Time of call 19.29

Richmond and Colburn attended a chimney fire at a residential property. Crews used a thermal imagine camera and hearth kit to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire was due to unsuitable materials (packaging) being placed on the fire.

Fire in the open – Station Road, Richmond

Time of call 19.50

Reeth were mobilised to a rubbish fire in a wooded area, on arrival the rubbish fire had burnt out and crews carried out an inspection only. The cause of the fire is believed to be a dropped light.

Automatic fire alarm – Seamer Road, Scarborough

Time of call 20.46

 Scarborough attended at an automatic fire alarm at a commercial premise, this turned out to be false alarm caused by a faulty detector.
