Incident summary - Night shift Tuesday 5th September

5th September 2017

Bellhouse Way, York - Time of call 17:05

Fire crews from York and Acomb responded to a fire in a domestic property. Cause of fire is believed to be an electric heater left on. No persons were hurt in the fire. Crews used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet.

 

Grosvenor Road, Scarborough - Time of call 18:47

Fire crews from Scarborough and Filey attended a fire in a ground floor bedsit. Cause of fire is believed to be deliberate. No people were injured. Crews used four breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets.

 

Harewood Close,  York  - Time of call 19:48

Fire crews from Huntington responded to a fire in filed involving a large bale of straw. Cause of fire is believed to be deliberate. Crews used beaters and one hose reel jet.

Ousegate, Selby - Time of call 01:22

Selby crews attended a flat fire on the top floor. Fire was out on arrival and is believed to have been caused by carelessness in the kitchen.

 

In addition to the above North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue attended several automatic fire alarms – all of which were false alarms.
