Incident summary - Night shift Wednesday 27th September

Finkle Hill, Sherburn in Elmet - Time of call 19:03

Crews from Tadcaster and Garforth attended a small fire in a stubble field. The cause of fire is believed to be deliberate. Crews extinguished fire using a hose reel.

Bishopsfields Drive, York - Time of call 19:15

Fire crews from York and Acomb attended a kitchen fire. The fire was caused by a grill pan left unattended. However fire was confined to grill pan and was out on arrival of crews.

Rawfield Lane, Selby - Time of call 20:14

Selby fire crews responded to reports of a fire sighted in a field. This turned out to be controlled burning under supervision.

York Road, Wetherby -Time of call 23:07

Crews from Harrogate and Wetherby attended a single vehicle road traffic collision. Car had slid off road and rolled down a ten foot bank before ending up on its side in a stream. One male occupant of car was unable to get out of car. Crews used a triple extension ladder to get down bank and access car. Male was assisted from vehicle and treated by Ambulance crews. His injuries were not serious.

In addition to the listed jobs North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue attended several automatic fire alarms. All were false alarms.
