Incident summary - Night shift wednesday 28th March

29th March 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.


Low Petergate, York - Time of call 16:56

York fire crews responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential property. This was a false alarm caused by a fault on the system.

Roseberry Street, York - Time of call 17:44

Acomb crew assisted a female stuck inside a room upstairs. Crews released her using small tools.

Whitby - Time of call 21:23

Whitby crews assisted Ambulance crews with a male patient. Crews performed CPR and male was then transported to Hospital via Ambulance.

Gateforth, Selby - Time of call 22:12

Selby crews responded to a derelict building on fire, cause was believed to be deliberate. Crews extinguished fire using hose reels.

Common Road, York - Time of call 22:52

York fire crews responded to a smoke alarm activation at a commercial property. This was a false alarm

Malton - Time of call 03:05

Malton fire crews assisted Ambulance crew with a heavy male patient. He had fallen onto the floor. Crews righted male onto a chair. Incident left with Ambulance crews.

Weeland Road, Selby - Time of call 06:18

Selby fire crew attended a bin on fire outside a fish and chip shop. The cause of fire is believed to be spontaneous combustion. One hose reel was used to extinguish.
