Incident summary - Night shift Wednesday 5th September

6th September 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Franklin Road, Harrogate - Time of call 17:09

Fie crews from Harrogate and Knaresborough attended a fire in the roof space of a domestic property. The fire started in the extractor fan believed to be caused by an electrical fault. The fire caused approximately 50% fire damage to part of a roof extension. Crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet and the aerial ladder platform from Harrogate.

Rosemary Place, York - Time of call 19:32

York crews attended a fire involving a pile of leaves. The fire was caused by a dropped light. A passer-by extinguished the fire using a bucket of water before arrival of the Crews.

In addition to the above incidents Crews attended several smoke alarm activations at commercial and residential properties, all were false alarms.
