Esplanade, Scarborough – TOC: 17.46

Crews from Scarborough and Filey responded to reports of a fire at a residential property, on arrival crews found a small fire on a cooker hob. Crews extinguished this using a fire blanket.

Boltby Forest, Boltby – TOC: 18.36

Appliances from Thirsk and Helmsley attended a scrubland fire measuring approx. 10m x 5m. Crews used knapsack sprayers and beaters to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is unkown.

Fairburn, Selby – TOC: 19.25

Our Tadcaster appliance attended a fire measuring approx. 4m of scrubland that was within a wooded area. Crews used knapsack sprayers and beaters to extinguish the fire. It is believed this was caused deliberately.

Sutton Bank – TOC: 19.50

 Appliances from Thirsk, Helmsley and Easingwold along with an Argocat vehicle from Kirkbymoorside station attended a scrubland fire measuring approx. 60m x 10m. Crews used knapsack sprayers, beaters and high pressure lances to extinguish the fire.

Hookstone Driver, Harrogate – TOC: 20.00

Harrogate and Knaresborough crews attended a grill pan fire that was out on arrival. This was caused by cooking left unattended and resulted in fire damage to foodstuff and light smoke damage to the kitchen. Crews provided advice to the occupier.

Sandcroft Road, York – TOC: 20.11

Acomb crew attended reports of black smoke seen from the rear of a property in Sandcroft Road. On arrival the fire brigade found occupants burning foam filled furniture. Crews used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and provided advice to the occupants.

Walaby– TOC: 20.27

Northallerton crew attended a bale on a fire in a field. Crews used 1 HRJ to extinguish, the cause of the fire is unknown.

High Street, Skipton – TOC: 22.17

North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue appliances from Skipton, Grassington and settle along with West Yorkshire Fire service appliances from Silsden and an aerial ladder platform from Bradford attended a fire in a 3 story commercial shopping unit in Skipton. Breathing apparatus and hose reel jets were used to extinguish the fire. 

Chatsworth Road, Harrogate – TOC: 23.52

Harrogate appliance attended a fire that had caught fire to the rear of a domestic property. Fire was out on arrival however crews dampened down the area using a bucket of water. It is believed this was caused by discarded smoking materials.

Breckenbrough Lane, Brough Park – TOC: 04:02, 02/07/2018

Richmond and Bedale crews extinguished a fire involving x2 conifer trees and a muck heap by using a hosereel and pitchforks, with the cause of ignition attributed to heat generated from the decomposition of the muck heap.

 

Crews from Huntington, Richmond and Reeth also attended automatic fire alarms in the county, these all turned out to be false alarms.
