 Etty Avenue,  York - Time of call 20:27

Fire crews from York responded to a car fire involving a Vauxhall Cavalier. Cause of fire was accidental. Crew extinguished fire using one hose reel and two breathing apparatus.

 Flaxley Road, Selby - Time of call 23:13

Fire crew from Selby responded to reports of a fire in a domestic property. On arrival crew confirmed a fire in property under construction had been extinguished by the home owner. Fire caused by heat from light that fell onto wooden floor. Crew cut away burnt floor areas and damped down hot spots. Minimal fire damage was caused.

 In addition to the above incidents North Yorkshire fire and Rescue appliances responded to automatic fire alarm activations in Malton, Selby, York, Bedale and Boroughbridge.

 All were false alarms.
