Fire in domestic premises which spread to wooden beam in attic due to defective flue and wood burner. Fire in beam extinguished and wood burner removed.

Alarm activation in basement flat activated by deodorant.

Alarm activation in a hotel caused by steam.

Alarm activation in domestic premises due to steam.

Location: Oak Road, Ripon

Fire to sofa in front garden of domestic property – deliberately set by owner. Fire was out on arrival, advice given.

Location: Wheldrake Lane, Escrick

Single car RTC where a car containing two females in their 20s hit an electrical pole. Firecrews closed road till Police attended due to a live electrical wire hanging precariously. Firecrews also made vehicle safe and assisted paramedics. Both casualties taken to hospital for checks.

Smoke alarm activation due to candle being left lit on storage heater.

Crews called out to assist Police and Ambulance gain access to a female fallen behind a locked gate. On Fire arrival, access had been gained via an alternative route.

Crews called out fire alarm activation within an industrial premises.

Location: Industrial Unit, Layerthorpe, York

Crews called out by Police due to a distressed male who had climbed a two storey industrial unit. Aerial Ladder Platform deployed at Police request and Police negotiator contacted. Before they arrived, male climbed down on own accord.
